I completed my Bachelor of Arts in History and English with a concentration on writing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. While working on my bachelor's degree, I completed the university's four-year Humanities Scholars Program, which helped me develop my critical and creative thinking skills. From there, I enrolled in the University of Maryland, College Park, where I completed my Master of Arts in History and spent time working as a teaching assistant in both women's studies and history courses. I hold a special education teaching certificate, and I have experience teaching both general and special education programs.I tutor students in a wide variety of topics, including arithmetic, elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, geometry, reading, writing, phonics, grammar and mechanics, literature, Shakespeare, American literature, British literature, literary analysis, American, US, European, world, and African-American history, creative, expository, persuasive, and fiction writing, introduction to fiction, and English, social studies, math, and public speaking. Additionally, I tutor AP U.S. History, AP U.S. Government and Politics, AP United States History, AP European History, and AP Comparative Government and Politics. I also tutor students taking courses about the modern world, those who need help writing and editing college essays, and those who need help improving their study and organization skills.
